It took some time to assemble more than 2 hours. Especially if you are alone it is tough--but doable. I did it by myself. However if you can find a helper that will help greatly. The fully assembled unit is quite heavy. You have to erect it from the laydown position after the full assembly. One regular size guy can do it but maybe not a 5 ft woman.
I really need one more of these but I am a little reluctent when I think of the sweat I had to shed when assembling the first one. But after everything is assembled it is a beautiful sturdy bookshelf. Very elegant. Great match to my elegant APT !More detail ...
